I'd buy Nightfall for now, if you just want to PvE. For PvP, buy all 3.

Is it just me or do people come on this forum to ask this question time after time after time after time? Maybe the mods should put a sticky at the top entitled "Which GW should I buy?" outlining basic guidelines individuals should adhere to in order to make an informed and intelligent purchase of their first copy of Guild Wars.

Get the first one. Tyria is too beautiful to miss out on. If you get NF, then Proph, you won't be able to do jack in proph because you won't be used to skill quests. Just trust me.

Put off buying Factions for as long as possible. Go Nightfall, then phrophecies, then Factions, though you will be missing out on pre-searing, everyone's favorite part of the game.

Get them all. They are worth it.
If you can only get 1 then get Nightfall . Heroes and customized weapon/shields/focus'/staffs is too cool. |
